6 Tips To Having A Lucid Dream


Having lucid dreams means being fully aware that we are dreaming, in addition to the ability to intervene and control the development of dream events. People who have learned to have lucid dreams claim that they have impossible adventures in real life, like flying, and that they live them as if they were completely real. 

Furthermore, lucid dreams can offer profound benefits to those who practice them.

Some researchers defend the idea that lucid dreaming can help us understand the human mind and its disturbances.

People who have mastered dreaming lucidly say that experiences lived during sleep feel the same as in real life. Fly, breathe underwater, cross walls, become an animal, travel to the sun or to the center of the earth, whatever you want, everything you do in a lucid dream will feel as if it's really happening. 

Here are some methods that will bring you closer to being able to dream lucidly. The most important thing to dream lucidly is motivation and effort, it is easier than you think.

1. Record your dreams

The best way to have lucid dreams is to record dreams. It is the intention to remember what you dream and as soon as you wake up, write down what you have dreamed. This is effective as you become increasingly familiar with the content of your dreams and this will help you recognize that you are dreaming when you are.

Keep a notepad next to your bed and record as much as you can, whether you wake up at 3 AM or in the morning, register, register, register. It has to be immediate, if you wait for time, you will forget it, write down everything, even if they are fragments and unrelated things.

2. Stay alert during the day

Another very efficient way to be more lucid is to actually be more alert during the day.

3. Make reality tests

Have some object or place on or near your body that you can observe or manipulate and that tells you if you are in reality or in a dream.

A good exercise can be to put your index finger and the middle finger of your right hand together and press them against the palm of your left hand to see if they go through it; if you are awake, you will never achieve it, however, if you are dreaming it is very likely that you will achieve it. From then on, you already have the dream under your control.

4. Choose an "intention" before falling asleep

Before going to sleep, take a few minutes to focus on your intention to be lucid during sleep.

One way to focus on this intention is to repeat to yourself, "The next time I am dreaming, I will remember that I am dreaming." Mentally repeat this as a mantra, thinking about the meaning of each word and focusing on the idea of ​​recognizing the moment in which you are dreaming.

5. Take practice naps

6. Remember that you are safe

Once you have lucid dreams, two things can happen to you that take you out of them. The first is that the emotion of lucid dreaming invades you and therefore wakes you up.
