The term mythology is attributed to a variety of stories related to folklore, myths, and legends from a certain culture. More precisely, mythology is also strongly affiliated with such paranormal activities that feature strange creatures, metaphysical and supernatural powers. The most well-known across the globe, are the ancient stories regarding the paranormal mythology of the cultures like Greek, Roman, and Canaanite.

This article will be featuring three most sought-after places with which, several myths have been associated.

1. Stonehenge

An ancient civilization, thousands of years ago created a circle of roughly rectangular stones in a green grassy field which is situated in Wiltshire, England. Since then, we have heard several myths about that place. The very first myth about Stonehenge is, it was a place of burial for the religious elite. The reason is, a recent documentary on BBC 4 showed that the bones which were exhumed and then reburied belonged to quite well-endowed people back then. Another mythology associated with Stonehenge is, it was a place visited by many who were suffering from illnesses and diseases which were incurable at that time. Some stand by the myth that says these stones were erected to promote an aural echo. Very few are the upholder of the myths that the Stonehenge was more like a celestial observatory or it was just meaningless and they erected these stones just as a part of a team-building exercise.

2. The Bermuda Triangle

First unveiled in the 1950s, this triangle of water over the Atlantic Ocean is quite a place of attraction for almost all scientists even for seismologists. It is a part of the ocean through which many ships that entered vanished right from the radar, as well as many planes that tried to make their way to the other end, were lost and most surprisingly without a trail. There are several myths in Greek and even in Hindu Mythology that clearly states that this place is one hell of a place. Some say this area of the ocean is haunted by the strongest paranormal forces which prevent penetration to their den. Many also think that this is a place where the UFOs come and land, making it their sub-quarter on earth. Whatever myth you may follow, the real story behind all these casualties is still under many veils and has never yet been discovered.

3. Haunted Houses

If you are going to buy or move to a new house, there is something you should consider prior to making the big decision. Some of the misconceptions that people have attributed to a haunted house are as follows.

  • A slight tap on the back and why you move around, nobody is there, is considered paranormal, which is a myth.
  • Sometimes, smell the perfume of one of your loved ones.
  • Your furniture rearranges itself, definitely a haunted house.

In a nutshell, today’s world is an advanced world and nowadays kids don’t believe in ancient stories, nor do they seem to have any interest. However, if you really are experiencing any paranormal activity, you know how to reach such forums and groups which have been providing services for years.
